Coach Aaron

Hello. My name is Aaron High, and I am the owner and founder of High Performance Elite. I have been in the health and human performance industry for over 13 years. My journey began in college where I majored in exercise science, and played on the football team. After completing my athletic eligibility, I took a student coaching position with the football team, working on the field, in the weight room, and in the athletic training room. It was during this time that my passion for coaching and helping others maximize their potential was born. After graduating, I spent the next 3 years as a Division 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach, and had the priviledge of coaching high level athletes and learning from some of the best strength and conditioning coaches at the Division 1 level.

After coaching for 3 years, my professional path shifted towards the private sector and the corporate fitness setting. Early on my primary clients were middle-aged to older adults who were recovering from injury and routinely engaging in physical therapy. Many of whom also had special conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, hypertension, and diabetes. This experience was an amazing growth opportunity as I learned how to apply the principles of strength training and athletic development to everyday people dealing with nagging injuries or chronic disease. I quickly became the go to guy for elderly clients with chronic conditions and movement dysfunctions, and post-rehab clients recovering from injury and illness.

Having a background training D1 Athletes and people with injuries, I began training young injured athletes who were recovering from severe injuries to return to play, along with those who simply wanted to elevate their performance by becoming faster and more explosive than their competition.

Over the years I have continued to study, learn, and apply the fundamental priniciples of athletic development and sports medicine into my training systems. This has led me develop what I call the High Performance Training System. This training methodology blends the principles of strength and conditioning, athletic development, and sports rehab to bridge the gap between rehab and High Performance. This system has proven to be effective across a large spectrum of individuals, and is adaptable to any age, health status, or performance level.

Coach SAM

Hey! My name is Samantha Ulysse. Throughout my childhood I danced recreationally and slowly ramped my way into dancing competitively. After having spent only one season as a competitive dancer, I had to quit due to a knee injury which was diagnosed as a bone bruise leading me into about a year of PT and rehab. After my recovery, I refocused my passion into the gym and fitness. When COVID shut the world down as we know it, I created a makeshift gym in my basement and persistently worked out until gyms started to open back up. With this new opportunity to explore weights and equipment, I found my love for powerlifting.

Since then, I have put in hundreds of hours of work and effort into the sport in hopes to become one of the best. Amongst this effort to become an elite-level powerlifter, I have faced injury. 10 days out from my first powerlifting meet, I pulled a muscle in my back and was forced to drop out of the competition and start from square one. As I navigated my way through another series of rehab and recovery, I learned the necessity of being mentally resilient as a competitive athlete. After months of recovery and training, I was fortunate enough to finish 3rd in my first ever powerlifting meet as one of the youngest lifters in the competition, while also qualifying for the Collegiate Nationals. Through this process I acquired a wealth of knowledge on how to approach injury and work my way back up to the top. Understanding what it takes to overcome a major sports injury and perform at a high level allows me to better help other athletes that are currently working around injury or experiencing the nagging effects of previous injuries.

Alongside being a competitive athlete, I am greatly invested in my craft as a Coach. I have invested hundreds of hours in mentorship, workshops, courses and hands-on coaching, in order to provide the best coaching experience possible. As an Exercise Science student, I am constantly immersed in the study of exercise physiology and biomechanics. It is my aim to translate my academic studies into improved outcomes for my clients and athletes.
